The intempo Rebel is a stand-alone FM radio which, using integrated Popcatcher technology, saves music from the radio as MP3 files. Rebel strips these files of DJ chat and ads. You can
then save the songs onto SD/MMC/MS cards or transfer to MP3 players via USB. There is no computer or internet connection needed to collect your MP3 tracks.

The Intempo Rebel also has built-in speakers for FM or MP3 playback, a line-in lets you connect other audio devices and it's priced at £69.99.

The new Zen X-Fi player from creative will be equipped with built-in WiFi for instant messaging and media streaming. The player also features a 2.5-inch display, integrated speakers, FM tuner, voice recorder and an SD-card expansion slot. The battery is rated for 36 hours of audio and 5 hours of video, and the X-Fi will support MP3, WMA, AAC (unprotected), and WAV audio files as well as WMV, MPEG4-SP, Divx 4/5, Xvid, and MJPEGWMV, MPEG4-SP, Divx 4/5, Xvid, and MJPEG video files.

There is no word on a price, release date and storage capacities at the moment.

Brightonnet comes back with the BI-SPMINI series of portable speakers for iPod. Available in black/grey or white/pink color, the stereo speaker provides an output power of only 3W. But, it doesn't only connect to iPod, it can connect to any digital audio players with a headphone output. This series will be available within a month in Japan, no word on pricing yet.
