Mophie has announced the release of the juice pack air, a rechargeable external battery for iPod touch. As the sixth generation of the award-winning juice jack family, the compact, form-fitting case delivers seven additional hours of power to iPod touch devices in a choice of metallic red, blue or gunmetal black colors.

The Juice Pack Air offers the convenience of an extended battery life and the protection of a case, all with an ergonomically designed, soft-touch, non-slip rubberized finish.

The Mophie Juice Pack Air for the second generation iPod touch lineup, 32GB iPod touch and 64GB iPod touch is now available for $79.95 at Mophie.com.

The HANWHA iBatt is a a rechargeable Lithium-polymer 3.7V 2,700mAh battery that can recharge your iPhone 3G or 3GS. The gadget charges in approximately 5 hours via USB or 3 hours when using the included AC adapter. It also double as a hard case with a swivel lid that protects your iPhone when not in use.

The iBatt is available in Japan only, and retails for 7,980 Yen ($85).

Scosche has launched its flipSYNC accessory, a convenient charge and sync cable for iPod and iPhone that attaches to your keychain with the built-in key-loop.

The gadget is priced at $19.99 and should be available this spring.

Tikcase has released a new iPhone case, the iTiki. The case is available in two colors, blue; Pacific – the cool blue of the ocean, and Koa – the warmth of Hawaiian wood. The case transforms the iPhone into a tiki by wrapping the phone in a snug-fitting silicone skin, designed to look like traditional Polynesian tikis.

The iTiki costs US$30 and works with the iPhone 3G and 3GS.

NewKinetix has announced its new Re universal remote control accessory for the iPhone and iPod touch. Connecting to your Apple product via the Dock Connector, Re works together with the company's free app to control most infrared-compatible electronics. The Re contains an "extensive" IR database for many brands and types of AV equipment, and can also learn IR codes for remotes not covered by the database.

Other features include activity-based user interfaces, a protective case, and the ability to set up "Favorites" lists of TV channels for easy access.

NewKinetix's Re universal remote control accessory for the iPhone and iPod touch is currently available and sells for $70.

Line 6 has introduced its new MIDI Mobilizer, a dock-connecting accessory that allows users to connect MIDI devices to the iPhone and iPod touch. The small black accessory offers both MIDI in and MIDI out ports, letting users record MIDI data from nearly any compliant device, or playback and restore data from the iPhone or iPod touch to the MIDI device, by using the company's free companion MIDI Memo Recorder application. In addition, it allows for the sharing of MIDI information by exporting a Standard MIDI File (SMF) that can be emailed to the user or a collaborator.

Line 6's MIDI Mobilizer for iPhone and iPod touch will include a pair of five-foot, five-pin Planet Waves MIDI cables, and will be available later this Spring; pricing has yet to be announced.

A new iPhone/iPod Touch stand has turned up called the MoviePeg. The stand is very plain and appears to be a small chunk of foam with a cutout in the profile of the iPhone. You slip the thing onto your iPhone and it props it up.

The MoviePeg can be positioned in multiple places to hold the iPhone in landscape and portrait modes. There are six different colors available to suit your tastes and the thing is downright cheap. You can order the MoviePeg stand for £4.99 plus shipping.

DICE Electronics has introduced its new G2 Cradle for the iPod and iPhone. Designed for in-car use, the G2 features a pass-through Dock Connector port for connecting the cradle to a car integration kit, charger, or rear-seat entertainment system.

The gadget comes in a black and brushed aluminum design with six interchangeable cradles for the iPod classic, first-, second-, and third-generation iPod touch, iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS, a ball mount for adjusting the device's viewing angle, and AMPS and iGrip patterned mounting holes, allowing for a variety of mounting solutions, including KUDA, ProClip, and iGrip mounts.
