Victor (aka JVC) has released in Japan the RA-P30, a portable stereo system for iPod. Compatible with all the latest iPods (Photo/Mini/Nano/Classic/Touch), this docking system also features an FM tuner, a mini stereo input for connecting other music players and 2x 4W stereo speakers. It can be powered by either the supplied AC adapter or by six AA batteries which provide two hours of continuous playback. It will be available in early June in black or white color for about $140.

iLuv has announced two new HD radio units, the i168 and i169. The iLuv i169 HD radio unit with iPod dock and dual alarm clock will be available early May 2008 for $169.99 while the i168 is just an HD radio with dual alarm clock and it will be available in mid April 2008 for $89.99. Both models include a standard AM/FM radio with 30 presets, an auxiliary line input for any audio devices with 3.5mm jack, and an LCD screen that displays station name, track title and artist information.

It features 2.5W-per-channel stereo speakers, an LCD display with iTunes tagging, dual alarm clock with snooze and sleep functions. There is also a line-in jack for connecting other digital audio devices, and a S-Video line-out for playing videos from your iPod on a TV. This dock will be available soon and the price will be nearly the same as the JiMS-525 which retails for about $160.

Brookstone is taking pre-orders for the new iHome iP99, claimed to be the first iPhone clock radio designed specifically to dock, charge and play both the iPhone and all dockable iPod models. Retailing for $149.95, the iP99 is shielded to protect against interference from the iPhone and it lets users wake up to their favorite iPhone or iPod music. The dock also features an AM/FM radio, alarm buzzer and a remote that controls both iPhone and iPod functions and menus.

Philips has dropped the DCP951 docking entertainment system which plays DVD, DivX, MPEG4 and iPod videos on an 9" color widescreen (640x 240px). With a retractable adaptor for iPod and built-in SD/MMC card slots, you can view DivX movies or digital photos from multiple sources. The Philips DCP951 is priced at $199 and supports the iPod touch, iPod classic, iPod nano 3rd Generation and iPod 5th Generation.
