Teclast announced the X11, a basic MP3 player that aims the low-end market. For approximately $30 the Teclast X11 is equipped with a Rockchip RK2601A processor, which only supports MP3 and WMA audio codecs as well as lossless APE and FLAC. Also it features a 1.1-inch two-color OLED display (128x 64px), 2GB of flash memory, voice recorder, and offers up to 10 hours of battery life.

iRiver Japan intros new patterns for its Mickey Mouse-shaped MP3 player, three camouflages models and four other players designed by Swarovski, a luxury brand. All models load 1Gb capacity (about 240 tunes) and have a playback time of 9 hours. The camo models look weird but if you're interested to buy one it will cost about $140 each while the Swarovski version is priced at $150.

The Green House's player features a two-color organic EL display, MP3 and WMA support, voice recorder and FM transmitter. Especially designed for in-car use, the built-in FM transmitter allows you to choose between up to 15 frequencies (76 to 90 MHz frequency band) to ensure that you will find a free frequency. Available in three different colors including black, silver and red, it comes with a car adapter charger for a price of about $90.

Successor model of the SV SD850N, the new Panasonic SV-SD870N is a digital audio player with noise-cancelling headphones up to 83% which achieves 100h of continuous playback, thanks to its external memory. Instead of using built-in memory the SV-SD870N comes with a 1GB SD card, it supports MP3/WMA/AAC audio codecs, has touch sensitive controls along with an OLED display. it weighs 40g, measures 35x 90x 11.4mm and will cost about $200.

Amazon listed by mistake the new SanDisk's MP3 player, called Sansa Fuze, this player appears to be designed as an iPod Nano competitor. From what Amazon has shown on its product page, the Sansa Fuze has a 1.9" LCD screen, a microSDHC slot, an FM radio tuner, voice recorder, support for MP3, WMA, and MPEG-4 files, and offers up to 24 hours of continuous playback in audio mode while it offers 5 hours in video mode. Available in red, black, and pink colors, the SanDisk Sansa Fuze was priced on Amazon at $99 with 4GB of memory.

Transcend has announced it will launch a 8GB version of its T.Sonic Mp3 player that comes in a ivory white finish for $115. The T.Sonic 650 features in a compact-sized housing (75x 31x 13mm) a dual-color OLED display, FM radio tuner with 20 preset stations and recording capability, A-B repeat and MP3, WMA, WMA-DRM10 playback. Also, the built-in Lithium-ion battery provides 15 hours of playback time when fully charged.

Sony Japan launches three new models in its E-series, the NW-E026F (4GB), the NW-E025F (2GB) and the NW-E023F (1GB). The main feature of these MP3 players is the ability to change the body color easily. These series include three-line color LCD, direct USB connection with "drag and drop" function and FM radio tuner. Each models play backs ATRAC, MP3, WMA, AAC and Linear PCM Audio and are supplied with high-quality in-ear headphones (MDR-EX90SL). Prices start from $90 for the NW-E023F model.

iRiver Japan has announced the Siren DP150 a basic MP3 player with 1GB or 2GB capacity, available in in three colors pink, blue and gold. The Siren DP150 has nothing special for a low-budget MP3 player, it play MP3, WMA and WAV files, has a built in equalizer with 6 presets and offers voice recording capabilities. The DP150 has a 128x 32 OLED display which supports ID3 tags. It fully charges in about 2 hours via USB and offering 17 hours of continuous playback. iRiver's Siren DP150 goes on sale in Japan from February 1st for about $65 (1GB) and $85 (2GB).

SanDisk has added the new capacity to its rather fabulous Sansa Clip line, from 2GB to 4GB now. The new version comes in a brushed silver body with a mirrored face and a removable belt clip. In a compact form factor the Clip offers an OLED display, an autonomy up to 15h of continuous playback, an FM tuner with autoscan and 40 preset memories, a built-in microphone for making voice recordings and the support for WMA subscription services and Audible tracks. The new 4GB version Sansa Clip is due in February and will cost $79.99.
