Teclast recently announced their first AMOLED portable media player. The major advantages of the AMOLED technology are an entierely covered viewing angles and an improved contrast. Teclast's M30 is equipped with a 2.8-inch 320x240 pixel AMOLED display, USB 2.0 connectivity, FM tuner/recorder and it supports MP3, WMA, FLAC, APE audio formats and AVI (Divx, Xvid, MPEG-4, etc..), RMVB audio formats. The player comes in 2GB or 4GB version priced at $69 and $85 respectively.

JVC announced a new, more comfortable in-ear canal headphone in seven colors to coordinate with the latest iPod players from Apple. SanDisk has added the new capacity to its rather fabulous Sansa Clip line, from 2GB to 4GB now. The new version comes in a brushed silver body with a mirrored face and a removable belt clip. In a compact form factor the Clip offers an OLED display, an autonomy up to 15h of continuous playback, an FM tuner with autoscan and 40 preset memories, a built-in microphone for making voice recordings and the support for WMA subscription services and Audible tracks. The new 4GB version Sansa Clip is due in February and will cost $79.99.

The Cowon iAudio U5 is coming to US, this MP3 player features a 1.8-inch 128 x 160 pixels LCD, up to 24hours of contiunous playback guaranteed by a Lithium Polymer battery, 4GB or 8GB of internal flash memory. It plays MP3, WMA, WAV files and includes built-in FM radio and voice recorder function along with user adjustable five-band EQ and USB connectivity. Cowon's iAudio U5 player is priced at $109.99 and $149.99 in 4GB or 8GB, respectively.

The iRiver Volcano is a tiny portable music player shaped like a USB thumb drive available in a choice of five different colors with a retractable USB port and a 1-inch black/white OLED display. It features a music player, an FM radio tuner, and audio recording function. Iriver's Volcano player pretends to be intuitive with a one touch USB system and a minimalist user interface, also it should be resonably priced. There is no information on pricing and availability yet because the Volcano is a prototype.

Philips is about to release a lot of new portable multimedia players in its GoGear series: GoGear SA3025/3045: 2GB or 4GB, 1.5-inch display, 11fps video playback, and 10 hours of battery life for music. $59/$79. GoGear SA3225/3245: 2GB or 4GB, 1.8-inch display, 15fps video, 20 hours of battery life for audio and 5 for video. $69/$129. GoGear SA5245/5285: 4GB or 8GB, 2.8-inch display, 30fps video, 25-hour battery for audio and 5 for video, also available in a Bluetooth-enabled version for wireless listening. GoGear SA6145/6185: 4GB or 8GB, 3.5-inch display, 30fps video, 16 hours for audio and 4 for video, $149/$169. GoGear SA6545/6585: 4GB or 8GB, 4-inch 16:9 display, 30fps video, 16 hours for audio and 8 for video. The 6585 also has video-recording capability and TV output. $179/$199. All of them have FM tuners and voice recorders. They support MP3 and WMA, while the GoGear 5245 and 6585 also play the AAC. All excepted the 3xxx series do protected WMA and protected WMV, and they all do regular WMV. These products will be available in the first quarter of this year except the 6145/6185, which is available now.

This micro boombox still owns a rouned OLED display (128 x 128 pixels) and FM tuner with 32 presets. It supports AAC, MP3 and WMA audio formats for up to 20 hours of continuous playback. Available in pre-order at $60, the 2GB ZEN Stone Plus has a choice of four finishes (black, blue, white and pink) and comes packaged with a silicone case, also a 4GB model is in plan.

The Creative's MuVo T200 is an upgrade of the T100 with a small color screen (128 x 32 pixels). Like the original, the T200 features a built-in USB Plug and improves by adding an FM tuner and Voice recorder function. This player reads MP3, WMA and WMA (DRM9) and it's equipped with a rechargeable embedded Li-ion battery up to 9hrs audio playtime. The T200 will come in a choice between 2 and 4GB capacities, at $59 and $79US respectively.
